Grand Cayman Beach Sightseeing
Beach enthusiasts will be elated at the many miles of beaches, beach parks, beach bars and general beach scene in Grand Cayman.
If you prefer lots of people, (relatively) cheap booze and snacks and lots of water toys, Royal Palms and Calico Jacks/Public Beach will more than suffice to accommodate your every need. If you are looking to do a little sightseeing and have a beach picnic there are numerous beach parks throughout the island, easily recognized by signage and shaded picnic tables. If you are in pursuit of finding your own private beach for the day you need typically only drive a few miles in any direction outside Seven Mile Beach or George Town.
One word of caution, while The Cayman Islands enjoy one of the lowest crime rates in the Caribbean, exercise some diligence in selecting a secluded beach. If something appears suspicious, trust your extinct and drive a few miles to the next secluded beach. Never leave valuables visible in vehicles and keep your windows down a few inches. The next best secluded beach is never more than a few miles away.
